Patrick Dale qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Liverpool University in 1986. Working in Frome in Somerset
for a year after graduation, helped me develop an interest in both horses and
small animals. Subsequently working in a truly mixed practice in Henley Arden in Warwickshire, gave me experience
with cattle and sheep.
Settling in Tring in 1988 then led me into rather a happy niche, dealing once more with both horses and small animals,
but ultimatley from 2003 with small animals only. Amongst other interests, at home I live with my wife, children,
cat, sheep, ponies and chickens.
Gavin
Young graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2004. Whilst shadowing vets in his home county of Derbyshire,
he developed an interest in small animal medicine and surgery.
He joined Springwell in 2005, being drawn
to the practice by the warm welcoming approach shown by the staff in dealing with pets and their owners.
Long term, his aim is to continue building upon his small animal experience, with a view to gaining a specialist
certificate in surgery. Gavin's interests outside his work include snowboarding and cooking. He is also looking
to take up golf, watch out Tiger!
Alison
Parkes began her nursing training in a busy mixed Veterinary Practice in 1990 and has since furthered her experience
by working in 2 other small animal practices before joining Springwell in January 2001. Alison lives with her husband,
8 year old son and numerous pets - a Jack Russel Terrier called Fenn and pet chickens to name a few.
Clare Logan trained in Harlow, Essex qualifying in 1994. In 2004 after working in Harlow for 15 years, she
relocated to Runcorn, Cheshire working in a mixed practice for 18 months. Family ties brought her back to the South
East, where she joined Springwell in January 2006.
Hannah Sawford Hannah is the newest member of the team, she completed her training at the Royal Veterinary
College in 2006 and joined us in the summer of the same year, as a newly qualified V.N. Hannah lives in Tring with
her rescued cat Ebbie.
