What's New

Digital X-Ray

In January 2008 we invested in digital x-ray technology. As with digital photography, it was a little bit of a wait for it to come of age in terms of size, resolution and cost. Now that all of our x-rays are processed using digital film and computer technology the advantages are clear.
There are no disadvantages and we have introduced this facility without an increase in costs to our clients.

The main advantages are associated with handling the image. The computer generates as perfect image as possible, which we may then enlarge, reduce, rotate, reverse and alter contrast to inspect the areas of interest.

Additionally processing times have reduced, significantly reducing duration of sedation or anaesthesia.

With no "chemistry" there is no environmental cost in terms of transport, handling and disposal of chemicals and storage of images is completely electronic.

We are very proud to offer this facility in addition to all of our other services and feel that it offers a benchmark of quality that we have also established in 2008 with our introduction of the Practice Standard Scheme.
